In 2019 the Kastner Cup was held at Buttonwillow in California. This was a very special year seeing two historic Triumphs racing each other for the first time: the TR250K, designed and built by Peter Brock and Kas Kastner in 1968 against the recently restored Huffaker TR8. The race was close with the rest of the field including many more historic Triumph powered race cars.

Dave Hogye: This is during the VARA British Extravaganza at Buttonwillow Raceway, Friday practice session, May 3, 2019. The weather was hot and right side tires are on painted curbing under full power. This was my first spin. I was lucky to not hit anything. I looked to my left and the TR6 was close to my door, so I floored the throttle to get out of the way.
